Review: Sherlock Holmes in the Hound of the Baskerville’s by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

This week’s Throwback Thursday is one of Sherlock Holmes’s biggest adventures: the Hound of the Baskervilles.

This time around, Holmes has got his hands full: Sir Charles Baskerville has been killed by a gigantic diabolical mythical hound, his only surviving heir has turned up to claim his fortune, an escaped murderer is on the loose, and the Butler is looking shifty.

In short, it has all of the makings of a superior Holmes tale. This is probably the most enjoyable Sherlock Holmes adventure I’ve read so far – plenty of twists and turns to keep you involved.

If you’re going to pick up just one Holmes book, then this would be my recommendation.

So what do you think? Have you read it? Did you like it? Would you recommend it? Is there a better Holmes adventure out there?
