Review: The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson

This book is a hoot!

A kind of Swedish Forrest Gump escapes his old people’s home, smashes a load of vodka and steals a suitcase full of money.

As the story unfolds, you learn that he’s had a helping hand in most of the world’s events from the 20s right up to now. He also tames an elephant, and smashes even more vodka.

Anyway, there’s a lot to like about this, and its not too difficult to read. I thought it was a barrel of laughs – a feel good book you’ll enjoy as the nights draw in.

Favourite bit is when he tries to figure out what the rules of the old people’s home are:
