Review: Vernon God Little by D.B.C. Pierre

This book is really enjoyable – a black comedy about a young boy suspected of taking part in a mass murder in a Texas school.

It’s written in a a kind of Texan dialect (a twang?), that gets into your bones by the time you’re finished. I remember being so hooked a stayed up all night to finish it.

If you want the Booker Prize effect without having to get your teeth into some of the meatier recent winners, then this could be the one for you.

I recommend it, y’all.
