Review: The Brothers K by David James Duncan

I was tricked into reading this when someone told me it was a baseball book (I’m a sucker for a good baseball book), but it isn’t really that.

It’s a book about how families cope, survive & thrive – despite the dice being loaded in the favour of the big institutions who are supposed to help them (the church, government, and even Major League Baseball in this instance).

It veers into preachiness, but I still enjoyed it.

Recommended, somewhat (and not just to the baseball fans out there).
