Review: Shogun by James Clavell

A cracking read – great fun. An English guys sails a boat to Japan, where he has to learn about the entire culture, and is an eye witness to the rise of a powerful shogun.

Definitely worth a read if you fancy a historical fiction book (and a good alternative to those Tudor ones that are knocking around these days).

Highly recommended – best thing is, you can probably borrow a copy of a friend – apparently its sold 15 million copies world wide. Someone you know must have it? Just pop round and I’ll lend you mine.
